ModPo update for Tuesday of week 7 (2018)
Here we are, Tuesday of week 7. We’re getting into a sampling of the poems of the New York School.
Yesterday a group of us spent some time talking about Bernadette Mayer’s “Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” This poem is worth your time! Did you know that Bernadette Mayer spent some days with us last spring as a “Kelly Writers House Fellow”? What amazing fun we had. She’s a completely remarkable person. You can listen to or watch the two public sessions we convened during her visit, including a one-hour interview/conversation I moderated.
