ModPo poet CJ Prince soon to publish a book of poems
ModPo’s Cj Prince will soon publish a book of poems. When it’s out we’ll be sure to post a link so everyone can acquire a copy. Readers will recognize ModPo poets in and around many of these pandemic-era poems. Here is the blurb I have written for it:
C.J. Prince’s pandemic poems are variously about dislocation, separation, and isolation, but they are themselves not those things. They gather a social poetic good company, inspiring co-creators: Stein, Cullen, Whitman, Dickinson, Hughes, Bergvall. She and they clutch feathers of peace, weigh our expectations, open lips for voice—all while “corona virus / people continue.” “Continue” here refers to resiliency and these verses abound in it.
