Poems from (and videos about) Rosa Alcalá’s “Undocumentaries”
We have now added three poems and two new videos to ModPoPLUS week 3. These are from—and about—Rosa Alcalá’s book Undocumentaries. We met up with David Colon in Seattle in January 2020 to talk about these poems. Alcalá is from Paterson, New Jersey, and has an interest in industrial and post-industrial life, in the culture of work and workers, and in some sense responds in this work to William Carlos Williams, who also wrote about and celebrated working-class Patersonians. That is why we have added these poems to ModPoPLUS week 3, in the WCW section.
