ModPo update for Tuesday of week 3, 2019
Hello and welcome to Tuesday of week 3, ModPo 2019!
Here are four thoughts/reminders/announcements:
1) Tomorrow (Wednesday, September 25th) we will convene our weekly live interactive webcast at 10 AM Philadelphia time. We hope the early start time makes it convenient for many of you around the world to join us. HERE is your link. You can call us at 610-616-3208. You can tweet using the hashtag #ModPoLive (we tweet from @modpopenn). Please post comments and questions to the special week 3 webcast thread in the ModPo forums HERE. You can also find the webcast—and all info about our webcasts—by clicking on “Resources,” then click “live webcasts.”
2) Many ModPo people have posted essays (in response to essay assignment #1—on Dickinson) HERE. Please click THIS LINK and pick out a few essays: read & post a comment. The essayists are your colleagues, your pals, your ModPo friends, and you can easily imagine how grateful they are to read responses to what they have written. Our objective: each essay will receive at least four responses!
3) If you need any sort of guidance as you engage with ModPo, post a question or concern to the “Hopelessly Lost” thread that has been set up by our amazing, generous Community TAs (CTAs). HERE it is. Go there and they will help you! You can also write us at modpo@writing.upenn.edu any time.
4) The ModPo TAs! That’s all I want to say. The TAs! As you move through the course, as you watch our videos, these people are your poetic co-adventurers, your guides, your question-askers, your encouragers. The original 2012 ModPo TAs are here once again for the 8th year! And over time a number of fantastic folks have joined us. Each week, as you know, each TA is available for a one-hour “office hour.” Stop by to say hello. They love hearing from you. The list and links to our office hours can be found below. Mark your calendars and drop in!
