ModPo is coming to Scotland!
Each year, the ModPo team leaves the Kelly Writers House and takes ModPo on the road. This year, in a few weeks, we will be traveling to Scotland!
While we’re in Scotland, we have organized two meet-ups. We invite you to join us in person, along with our Scottish poetry friends and colleagues, at these events.
Spaces are limited. So if you intend to travel to see us, please RSVP now or very soon.
We will create waiting lists; if you are on the waiting list, we will be in touch with you about possibly finding another time or place to meet up with us as we travel around, filming new ModPo videos about Scottish poems and with Scottish poets. But we apologize in advance to those who are unable to join us because of space limitations.
Here are the two events to which we happily invite you:
1) On Thursday October 12th, at 7PM (local time), we’ll gather at the famed Scottish Poetry Library (https://www.scottishpoetrylibrary.org.uk/) in Edinburgh. There we will be hosting our weekly ModPo live interactive webcast. Audience members will be invited to pose questions and participate. We have 30 seats available for this event. Sign up now here:

2) On Friday October 13th, beginning at 10 AM (local time), we will be filming FOUR new ModPo videos — at Fruitmarket (https://www.fruitmarket.co.uk/) in Edinburgh. We will record a special Scottish episode of PoemTalk (about two poems by Veronica Forrest-Thomson). We will then film collaborative close readings of poems by Peter Manson and Iain Morrison. We will then film an open collaborative discussion, with our audience, of a famous short modern Scottish poem. Sign up here now:

Once again, we are sorry if we reach capacity for either of these events before you sign up. However, if we don’t have space for you at either of these events, we will reach out to you; they might be possibilities for you to join us at other stops along our Scotland way.
