ModPo comes to Seattle & Vancouver
The ModPo team is definitely coming to Seattle and Vancouver in January!
In Seattle: there will be a ModPo meet-up on Friday, January 10, We will gather at the Town Hall Forum starting at 5:30 PM. Town Hall Seattle is the name of the overall venue. Specifically we will meet in the “library” section of the Forum, which is on the right side of the large space as you face the main stage. See map below. Town Hall is centrally located at 1119 8th Ave (the corner of 8th and Seneca). (The venue is served by frequent bus routes, is near access to light rail stations., and close to a number of parking options nearby.) To find the Forum, where we will meet, please use the West entrance off Seneca St and then find the downstairs lounge. HERE is more information.(A further note on the entrance: One can only get to this door by walking up / down on Seneca between 8th and 7th / Hubbel. There will be a sandwich board on Seneca Street showing people the way to the Forum.)
In Vancouver: we invite you to join us at the lovely home of a dear friend of ours, in the city, for a session in which we will record an episode of PoemTalk featuring three eminent Vancouver-based poets and then host an open discussion with you and the poets—along with food & fun beverages—on Monday evening, January 13, beginning at 6 PM.
Write to us at modpo@writing.upenn.edu if you would like to join either or both of these gatherings.
